So, it's really no secret, at this point, that I may be a bit biased when it comes to the Great Sex Games products, mainly because of how highly I think of the Sex Is Fun crew and their fearless leader Kidder Kaper. But this bias should in no way take away from the validity of my comments on their product. The main reason I think so highly of Kaper and Kompany is because of the high level of quality, the attention to detail, and the overwhelmingly positive attitude behind everything they do.
I was thrilled to receive the new and improved version of their flagship game Sex Is Fun for review. I can tell you right off that this game is perfect for a couple who is a bit unsure of their sexual interests and looking to improve sexual communication. For us swingers, and our perhaps jaded sensibilities, it was simply a good time, but didn't tell us a lot we didn't already know.
The great thing about the game is, the way it's set up, it's a fun game by its own right, it's a way to get new information from your partner under the guise of playing a game, (Why do you think Truth or Dare is so popular to play, you can always blame your honesty on the game!) and it's a nice jump start, because the largest collection of cards in this set are action cards, designed to get the sexy started.
But I'm getting a bit ahead of myself. There are six types of cards in the gameplay, five that ask questions about desires and interests, many phrased in a “would you let me do ______ to you tonight” and the sexy surprise yellow cards (you're gonna love playing these!) that have you do something sexy and anticipate what your partner's reaction will be.
The game portion is set up by both of you playing a multiple choice card, for instance:
A card reads, “Which of the following sexual interests do you find most intriguing right now?” with multiple choice options: A) Bondage, B) Role Playing, C) Voyeurism/Exhibitionism, D) Watching pornography or reading erotica.
So, if I'm asking the question, I have to guess which of these four options Marilyn would choose. We both play our multiple choice cards, and if they match, I get a point, if not, she does. The sexy surprise cards give you a multiple choice about what you think your partner is going to do, and the aforementioned “would you let me” cards give you a yes/no multiple choice. There are a few more cards that allow for a bit more competition between the couple.
Both Marilyn and I enjoyed the game quite a bit, though the competitive couples may want to keep track of points elsewhere than stacks of chips on the bed, because our game ended when a yellow card moved beyond seduction and became a really hot bit of doggy style, strewing the cards and chips all over our bed and the floor.
‘Cuz that's how we roll.
We agreed very quickly that this game would've been tremendously beneficial in our sexually confused phase, as we would've learned quite a bit about what each other wanted. We found ourselves answering “yes” almost universally to any question that was asked in the “would you let me do” category, amending “If you asked me to do that, I would” to each of these. That said, there were a few questions where our answers surprised us, most in the kink section, and for that new bit of information I declare that Sex Is Fun – The Card Game is indeed fun, and you should DEFINITELY play with it!

Anne and I are a big fan of games. We are definitely going to have to check this one out.
We've been trying to find the right people to play their swingset game with, perhaps we should get together!
