It never fails. On Halloween, swingers will party. Halloween is the perfect storm of swinger fun. We have the excuse to be scantily clad. We can show our interests and creativity through the costumes we choose. And the costumes are an immediate icebreaker. Inevitably, when Prof and I head to a lifestyle Halloween party, we always notice the crowd starts the night a bit more gregarious, adventurous and (ahem) friendly. During conversation, everyone seems to share “how long we've been waiting” for Halloween to arrive.
Preparing for Halloween parties is serious swinger business. Planning and discussion of costumes typically begins at the end of summer. And the chatter typically includes questions like: Who's going as what? Are you dressing as a couple or each doing your own thing? Can I borrow the wig you wore last year? Can you help me think of something more interesting than “sexy cheerleader?”
When considering costume ideas, it's fun to dress up as something/someone that piques your turn ons or lesser explored sexual interests. The costume itself can be liberating and disinhibiting. As a sexy friend once said when dressed as the ubiquitous, yet always delicious French maid, “My outfit had a fantastic time. I was just along for the ride.” I tend to gravitate toward costumes that do indeed play on my fantasies, that I can work into role-playing or that have accessories I want to get my hands on. Of course, when considering ideas for Prof, I tend to suggest costumes that require him to be bare-chested: gladiator, beach bum, you get the idea. I'm predictable that way because Prof bare-chested, or just plain bare, makes me so hot. Maybe I should suggest he go as the Biblical Adam or the Vitruvian Man. Hmmmm…I may be on to something there.
For those who've been in the lifestyle longer, they have a cache of costumes to choose from resulting from attending many a swinger event, from “Naughty Schoolgirl” nights to “Dress for the Generations” parties. Likely those seasoned swingers will have costumes they scored the week after Halloween last year along with assorted accessories like fishnet thigh highs, pink wigs and devil horns. (Because, of course, as a swinger one can never have too many pairs of fishnet thigh highs, pink wigs and devil horns.)
In brainstorming our costumes, Prof and I decided that it is a huge challenge to come up with unique and clever costume ideas. We all want to dress in something that makes us feel sexy. Although some ideas are quite clever, it can be a challenge to strike the perfect balance of clever and sexy. I've decided on Domme naughty professor this year because carrying the riding crop just opens so many erotic doors. Prof is somewhere between rapper and hot jock. I vote for whichever option covers the least amount of his delicious body. So we’ll see where he lands.
Given the limitation of our creativity, I turn it over to you, sexy, smart readers. Let's hear your ideas for super sexy, fun and clever Halloween costumes. Prof and I are all set for this year, but I need to know what to buy this November 1 in preparation for Halloween 2011!

Hey there – This will be our first time HOSTING a Halloween party and I have to say it's been the most fun event-planning experience I've had so far! All the wickedly fun and wild decorations, the silly surprises, the costume discussions, how far is TOO far for the "tricks" AND the treats…hehe. 🙂 Everyone coming will be able to get two complimentary photos of themselves in costume and I plan on spending more time than usual watching the guests go bowling in costume or OUT of costume! Door decorating, trick-or-treat door to door, and I just talked to the DJ earlier today to make sure he's got some good creepy sound effects to mix into the hot dance music. Chris the Tattoo guy is working on the brain salad centerpieces, people are busy sewing and crafting and the buzz is AMAZING! Every day we register 3 or 4 more couples — it's been a wonderful mad hectic rush planning and I'm pumped!!! The hotel manager told me that I don't need to cut off the list – the banquet hall is huge and people spread out (hehe, spread) throughout the place so the more the SCARIER!! http://www.partyperks847.com
