One thing that Tristan brought up early in the episode was the possibility of marital infidelity as a possible route to swinging. I have noticed this issue is not discussed openly. Is this indicative of anyone’s experience? Does anyone know of any instances where this has happened?
Generally, I would wager the reason it’s not discussed openly is that it MAY be a source of embarrassment for the couple…just a possibility
True, but still Tristan recognizes it as a path to swinging, presumably as a result of the discussions she has had with with couples who have disclosed that to her.
I thought the relative anonymity of a blog comment would be the perfect place to talk about such experience without the potential of being recognized and embarrassed as a result.
If the embarrassment a person/ couple may experience is as a result of just acknowledging the infidelity ever occurred, then isn’t that what Life on the Swingset is all about? (i.e “…we don’t sugar coat”)?
I would personally love to hear from some folks who’ve gotten started this way.
