Marilyn and I spoke briefly with Wendy Strgar of “Ask The Loveologist” on Care2.com about our swinging lifestyle and our desires for this site. We want it to be a beacon in the darkness to those who feel that their lifestyle desires are dirty and wrong. Thanks Wendy for mentioning us in your article (page two) and we agree with most everything you said in the article.
Today Marilyn and I decided to take a big step in our lifestyle. We have just booked a trip to Desire for next February. Why is this a big step? Well, to date our swinging interactions have mainly been with people we’ve met a few times and then played with, or people we know through others and are therefore sort of “vouched for.” (which is really a post all in itself…) Though we fully intend to give on/off site parties and clubs a chance, we just haven’t gotten around to it, which is really because we’ve never been that comfortable meeting people. So to now book a trip to a clothing optional and VERY swinger friendly resort….well, it’s a bold move for us, and one I’m proud of.
We’re lucky enough to have a local bar that, every Wednesday, is happy to host a small group of swingers. This bar is fully aware of who we are, and judging by the amount of traffic that the OTHER half of the bar gets on Wednesday nights, they were absolutely thrilled to have us there. I’m told we have even been offered porn on the small & curtained off VIP area.
Thirty days.
I really did expect to ditch it sooner. Mainly because I have little sense of follow through, but also because I didn’t expect it to be nearly as good as it was.
