Imagine my surprise when I was given the Joya 4U Little Su Tulip (vibrator) and dildo. The packaging for these toys is pretty amazing. Each comes in a box in the shape of a hard-backed novel that could blend in on any bookcase. It isn't until you open the cover, that you see the sixteen pages of instructions (four pages per each of four languages) and the foam with a cut out surrounding your new toy.
Curious to give each toy its due, I quickly glanced over the instructions (complete with illustrations) and settled into play. Both are made of a soft silicone and are non-phallic in shape. Both are tapered for easy entry; however, the dildo is also tapered at the base to be used anally.
Both also have a “bump” or “petal” for clit stimulation. In the Tulip, this petal has its own vibrator, but it is not controlled separately like with many rabbit toys. Even with the main shaft completely inserted, the petal sticks out away from my body. It does not rest easily on my clit. This means that for me, it is not a hands-free unit
The vibrator has 3 speeds which should be enough for the average woman. I tend to really like heavy vibration so was unable to cum without an little extra ompf from my Hitachi Magic Wand.
One problem that I noticed in both solo and partner play is that the position of the on/off button at the end of the toy makes it very easy to switch speeds or shut it off inadvertently. One suggestion from the Little Su's instruction booklet is to use the vibrator in conjuncture with another dildo in a harness. This would be worth a try, though I have a feeling that the second dildo would hit the on/off button making it more trouble than it is worth.
Personally, I am not that fond of any dildo in solo play; my hands get tired from the whole in-and-out movement. I would much prefer a partner to do the work or a vibrator when I want to get off. Having said that, the Little Su dildo is not bad if I want something inside me while using a clit vibrator. The dildo stays in well and feels good when the vibrations go through it. It is not what I would consider large or completely filling by any stretch of the imagination, but I can imagine that as an anal toy, it would be considered good size.
The Tulip (vibrator) requires 2 AAA batteries and is not submersible. Something I learned from washing it, not from the instructions. The instructions do not say anything about its water proofing, but they do say to not throw it away.
So the big question is: will I use them again? To which I would say: maybe, but neither makes it into my toy drawer. They can take their place proudly on my high bookshelf – did I mention that I really like the packaging?!
