Way back, before The Swingset was born, before non-monogamy transformed our sex life, we bought the We-Vibe. This was a big drop for us, as our previous sex toys were between $20 and $30. The We-Vibe didn't impress us. I couldn't really tell you why, other than I don't really enjoy genital vibration on me very much and, well, Marilyn hadn't quite discovered how to suss out that tingle from her bits yet anyway.
Opening the Tiani 2, I saw a simulacrum of the We-Vibe. And why not? It's a great idea. A vibe that can be worn. Stays in place (more or less). Nails the clit and g-spot, and then, for fun, the cock that maybe is sliding in below or above it. The Tiani 2 forms an elongated C shape, with a vibrating bulb on one side, and an interchangeable bottom that can either be a rounded nub, or a more g-spot nailing friendly bump/ridge.
The most interesting thing about the Tiani 2 has got to be its wireless controller disc. Um. Yep. So, the C can be used all by itself with a steady vibration, that is actually really strong. I wouldn't expect anything less from LELO, after all they consistently produce great vibration with VERY little noise. But if you want to have some more fun, you can fire up this wireless controller disc. See, it ALSO vibrates, so can be used in other areas. (Though I think this might be more valuable for female/female couples…or men who enjoy a lot of vibration on their cock.) There are three control modes. #3 is dull but effective. You control it the way you've controlled all other LELO toys. + and – for intensityn, and another button to switch up the vibration.
Modes #1 and #2 are more interesting. In control mode #1, holding the disc flat produces very low vibration on both the disc and C. Turning the disc vertically produces gradually more and more intensity. This was a lot of fun, and we sat flipping the disc around to see what it would do. Control mode #2 is far more silly. In this control mode, the default is almost no vibration at all, to get the base unit to vibrate, you SHAKE THE DISC up and down. The faster you shake, the higher the vibration speed. This was fascinating, and very silly as I moved my hand and arm very quickly to produce the strong vibration, but got old pretty quickly.
Ultimately, when it came down to using the Tiani 2 during sex, we chose to go to control mode #3, as it required the least amount of our attention. Use in missionary style was okay, but we both felt very aware of not just the vibration (which was nice) but the thing between us (and rubbing the top of my cock.) The magic happened when we flipped Marilyn over and did a little doggy style. For me this made a huge difference, as now instead of awkwardly bumping the edge of my glans, the vibe was running along my frenulum, and Marilyn pushing down on the vibe pressed it against her clit.

So, downside?
