Could it be that I had actually turned into a BDSM snob? Have I become one of those people that could only enjoy her kinks with the finest of hemp rope or the highest quality leather cuffs? I had this thought a few weeks ago when a lover pulled out his white nylon rope to tie me to the bed before he had his way with me. Did he really pull out nylon? Any self-respecting bondage slut knows that hemp is the way to go. With this newfound realization of my BDSM snobbery I vowed to enjoy the moment, and enjoy it I did. Nylon rope does have its merits. But, I digress. I’m not here to discuss the merits of rope. I’m here to review the Inflatable Bondage Chair from Pipedream Products, the chair that once again made the bondage snob in me surface. It took me a while to actually try this chair our. I really wondered how this bondage snob was going to give this piece of equipment a fair review.
With the intention of giving the inflatable bondage chair a thorough and fair review, I called a friend to give me a hand. I’m glad I waited until he appeared to actually inflate the chair. The chair does not come with a pump or air compressor. This fact alone was not helping me have better thoughts about this chair. Fortunately, my friend is a gentleman and he blew and blew until the chair was inflated. About twenty minutes later we were ready to actually try the device. Even though the chair has six bondage straps attached to the chair we were both at odds as to what to actually do once I was in the chair. The box clearly states that the chair only holds 300lbs. The 2 of us combined on the chair could easily deflate it. Crazy sexual positions were out. I suggested giving him head while I was strapped into chair. Sure, that could be done, but couldn’t that be done in a number of more comfortable or exciting positions. Frankly neither of us were very impressed with the chair at this point, but we were determined to make it useful.
After contemplating using it as a sled on the staircase and deciding against it for our own safety, my playmate had an idea. Now dear readers, keep in mind I’m a kinky girl. What is one person’s kink is not another. My play partner carried the chair into the bathroom. He strapped me in and adorned me with the very cheap and scratchy blindfold that comes with the chair. He then proceeded to pour cold water on me much to his amusement. Being restrained by the chair I had nothing to do other than suffer the cold and beg for some warmth. Because I have such a kind playmate, I got what I asked for. He very generously unzipped his jeans and gave me a nice warm golden shower. Not only did we have a very sticky and interesting playtime, but we also found a wonderful reason to keep the bondage chair for future use.
The inflatable bondage chair is great for use when someone needs to be restrained and the situation calls for a sticky, wet or dirty mess. The chair is easy to clean and helps keep the mess off the floor. For those freaks like me who are into fluids or messy food play, this chair can come in very handy. It does the job of restraint while also keeping the “good” rope or cuffs clean. This is the only reason I recommend this chair for the more hardcore BDSM players or those other BDSM snobs out there. As for the vanilla players, I suggest saving the $52 and instead investing in a beginner bondage kit or some nice silk scarves and handcuffs.

Very neat idea for it! I have one of these coming, and I was wondering what we were going to do too. Messy play sounds fun. (Cotton rope is still my favorite rope over hemp. But I do own hemp now for suspensions.)
