Upon opening the package of Heart 2 Heart Wrist Restraints, I noted immediately how aesthetically pleasing they were. The red and black leather with silver accents was like eye candy to us. The restraints are nice enough that you could possibly wear them out to parties and gatherings as a fashion accessory.
Upon taking the restraints out the first thing we noticed is there were not any clips so that you could hook/clasp the cuffs together. This didn’t deter us though……on we went to the bedroom.
We used the Heart 2 Heart Wrist Restraints in combination with our Sportsheets under the Bed Restraint system. Since the Heart 2 Heart restraints don’t come with hook/clasps we had to remove our Sportsheet cuffs from the split rings and then put on the new cuffs. This was somewhat of a pain and was thankfully done before playtime. Had we been in the midst of playtime it really could have killed the mood. Once installed our slave noted the smell of leather on the new cuffs…which really nobody minds. When we read the packaging it said that the cuffs had “ultra-soft suede lining”….which we did not find. No matter, the leather was soft enough to the touch and it didn’t harm our slave.
We ultimately did a side by side comparison and noted that the Heart 2 Heart Wrist Restraints were much harder to get out of for our slave than the Sportsheets one which she has gotten out of before. Brownie points to Heart 2 Heart! Woo! Being that they are made of leather you are prone to more sweating….however the 90 degree temperatures outside along with various bodies in one room probably didn’t help either. While writhing around in pleasure and ectasy the Heart 2 Heart Wrist Restraints doesn’t allow as much give and forgivness as the Sportsheets ones. Note: Heart 2 Heart Wrist Restraintsare a buckle system while the Sportsheets are Velcro and more adjustable.
All of us also tried on the restraints to see how they felt on our wrists. They are much better for those with smaller wrists (such as women) as my husband tried them on and they BARELY fit….but seeing as he is part Samoan it's hard to find things that fit him in general. The fact that they are leather though it is possible they will strectch over time. In the essence of research we also tried them on our ankles and they didn’t fit any of us. But if you have a 100 pound soaking wet partner with Skeletor ankles, they will most likely fit. =)
We had a good time with the Heart 2 Heart Wrist Restraints and our slave and have a smidge more control over the situation. Based on these new wrist restraints we may have to expand more upon our restraint system as they may be for the slightly more experienced or those that are very much into BDSM based on the fact that it did not have split rings, clasps, hooks, etc.
