SS 35: Safer Sex, The Infections Formerly Known as STDs & Swinging – How Swingers & Polyamorists Handle Safer Sex

5

One of the most concerning topics for anyone looking to get into the swinging or other non-monogamous lifestyles is the risk of contracting a sexually transmitted infection, so we invite Gay Rick from Sex Is Fun, a HIV educator, on to discuss the concept of acceptable risk, how we all need to make the decision for ourselves if our lifestyle is worth the risks inherent in it, and ways to minimize our exposure risks.

On this show: Cooper, Shira B. Katz, Dylan, & Gay Rick from Sex Is Fun

  1. Thanks for this awesome episode! I was asked what my opinions were by someone on twitter due to something I had said about STI tests on Twitter, and my thoughts were more extensive than I expected, so I have a rather long post up about this as well.

Now I need to get to listening to all of them from the start with Anna and Delilah perhaps (unless they have already raced ahead… something about Coopers voice I understand?)

      • You provided a very thought-provoking starting point… I think everyone should spare a few moments actually thinking about what acceptable risk is to them, rather than just winging it on a vague notion in the back of the mind 😉

  2. you refer to a video along the lines of “how to make condoms suck less” – can you share a link to this? thanks!
