Review: Sex In The Shower – Handle and Foot Rest

0

Let me preface, we don't generally have sex in the shower.  It's small, and someone always has to stand directly in the water spray, that is unless we decide to turn the water off, and then we're just standing in a cold and somewhat dark cell instead of in our inviting king sized bed in the other room.

All that said, I was interested when we got the Sex in the Shower Handle and Foot Rest (sold separately) because it addressed one of the other major issues that comes along with sex in the shower, bracing yourself.   You really have very few things to grab onto, the showerhead (not a good idea) the heat control (not a good idea) and everything else is well below the “easy grab” line.

I was immediately impressed, pulling the suction cup Handle out of the box, by the shear size of it. Most of these items I've found look big in the pictures, but when you get them home they're rather tiny.  This Handle is huge, a foot long, with giant suction cups at each end that lock onto the wall. Once it sticks it's NOT getting pulled off, either.  Though, for the first couple hours I had it up there, it DID slide. Once it had gone through two shower cycles, though, it stayed put. That's a very nice thing about this Handle, is it looks innocuous. It doesn't have a big “sex in the shower” logo anywhere on it, so you can put it up and LEAVE it there, calling it a safety thing.

After a lot of yanking and pulling and what-have-you, we became pretty convinced that this Handle is secured to our wall and isn't going anywhere, allowing us to safely and comfortably get into more unique positions (all the while realizing that our shower is REALLY SMALL.)

The Foot Rest is a different story, I'm sorry to say. It's shaped strangely, curving down at the front, and its single large suction cup isn't attached very well to the rest of the Foot Rest, so when any weight at all was put on it, it bent down pretty severely. As a combo for the Handle, we found that the edge of the tub was a far better Foot Rest than this dedicated one.  (However, it did make a wonderful rest for my loofah sponge)

So, for those looking to get down and dirty in the cleanest place in your house, the Sex in the Shower Handle might be a great addition to your stall. The same cannot be said about the Foot Rest.

(Additionally, it occurs to me that should you need to move a large pane of glass, the Handle might be helpful)
