When I first saw the Sportsheets “I Like It Doggy Style” Strap, I couldn't wait to try it. Something that has the ability to hold a woman in place while you go to town on her… excellent. The strap wraps around the underside of the belly and by pulling upward, you position her in the “desired doggie style position.”
So there I was with my woman in front of me, strap in hand. I wrapped it under her lower belly and pulled the strap up and then pushed her against me. There was a sense of overkill upon doing so. We went at it in this way for a few minutes before I dropped the strap and just grabbed her by the hips with my bare hands. I found myself saying it out loud: “That's better!” In short, I found the strap to be more of a hinderance than anything else. I had a bit more control with my hands than what the strap could provide.
To be fair, Cooper told me recently about how the strap was found very useful in a DP situation. Considering all of the various physical forces at work during those conditions, I could see how the strap could provide a great deal more stability to the experience, holding the “recipient” in place more firmly than what would otherwise be possible. That's really what this is for, after all, aiding and assisting in situations that are new and different. For those getting used to doggy style, this may be quite a benefit.
It didn't work for me, but it may work for you. Situations may vary.
